More Jaelin... I can't get enough

Although he's wild and crazy he also has a very tender hearted. He is sensitive and caring and loves deeply. He always says he has 2 moms. His other mother Kelly (Gattis) definitely owns a large part of his heart. He asks me, "Mom, why does my other mother Kelly never get mad at me when I wake her up in the morning and you always do?" A reminder that kids notice everything and don't forget. I told him it's because she's just special that way and I didn't mention that it's because I am not a morning person and he is usually up by 7 and Kelly only has him a few times a year not every day. He fell to sleep around 6:30 one night this week and lo and behold he was up for good at 4:45 in the morning. Yikes. He currently loves playing football and any other game with balls, jumping on the trampoline, playing with Corey, Landon, Ashton, Bryton, Zachary, Ben and Josh. Playing in the dirt, webkinz, Sponge Bob, had to mention him 2x cuddling with mommy, hates long car rides, always wants a drink, Spells his name both out loud and in capitals. We are working on small letters.
I love about him his beautiful full mouthed smile, his hands so perfect for holding, his legs so fast and strong. His eyes and face when they show he's tired but he adamantly denies it. It's true that having children is giving permission for your heart to walk around outside of yourself. Definitely a risk, but worth all of the living in the world.

Five and Loving it!!!

What a sweet and completely energetic boy I was sent 5 years ago. I can't imagine life without him. He keeps me going at mach 10 and is always learning new things. He is a natural athlete and runs as fast as a cheetah. He loves his big brother Sebastian like no other even though it's hard for the teenager to be consistantly kind. I wish I could convince Sebastian how important it is for Jaelin to feel his love but it's hard expecting him to be a surrogate father. Not what he signed up for. Jaelin loves taking care of his nieces and nephews and always wants a baby brother or sister. I tell him he will have to enjoy his cousins. :)
